This game as you can probably tell by the title is set in an Asian Jungle bursting with life.

It is a rather novel approach to a jungle-based slot game as you don’t see that many containing Pandas or Baboons for starters.

The game has 5 reels and up to 243 ways to win as well as some rather cool features that will have you lost in this mystical jungle in no time!

Special Features

The first feature I triggered while playing this game was the Respin feature. It’s an excellent idea which allows you to respin individual reels in the game but it comes at a cost as you need to pay in order to respin the desired reel. The handy thing about respinning reels is that all respin costs are clearly displayed before you decide to respin a reel so you know exactly how much it will cost. I found myself using this feature quite a bit to line up reels perfectly in order to score a big payout.

The Wild Orient logo is the Wild Symbol in this game and substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter Symbol. It is worth noting that it only appears on reels 2 and 4.

Another feature of this game is the Free Spins feature. This is triggered when you land 3 or more Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. The Scatter symbol is depicted by all of the animals huddled all together in stone form. This feature awards you 15 free spins and also a 3X multiplier. Free Spins can also be retriggered so there is huge scope for some big wins when you enter into this feature.

Theme, Graphics and Sound

Being a fan of Asian culture myself, I really enjoyed playing this game.

The look and feel of the game really give life to a living breathing Asian jungle, right from the various bamboo shoots in the background to the gorgeous symbols of the animals themselves. The symbols run nice and cleanly along the reels and it is a lovely touch how dragons and Asian fans were added to the standard symbols like K and Q to really make them stand out.

I must also mention the music. It is absolutely beautiful with a distinctly Asian feel, lots of string instruments and woodwind sounds. I enjoyed how the pace of the music picks up when you play the Free Spins feature, it really does immerse you deep inside this mystical jungle.

Wild Orient is produced by Microgaming and I know there are a tonne of jungle-based slot games out there today but this one will grab your attention due to its original take on an Asian jungle theme.

The music coupled with the chance to respin reels really does make it stand out from other games. It is definitely worth giving a spin or even a respin or two!
