The Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe is one of the biggest races in the horse racing calendar with top class horses coming from all over Europe and beyond. One only needs to look through the list of previous winners to realize the quality on show. It is a Group 1 flat horse traditionally held on the first Sunday in October. The race is open to thoroughbreds aged three years or older and it is held in Longchamp just outside Paris. The race is run over a distance of 2400m, and the best middle distance horses this side of the Atlantic will convene for a race for the ages.
