Genting have just announced that they will be investing approximately $400 million on the resort, which is scheduled to be completed in mid-2019. Genting have said that the expansion will be a magnificent boost for NYC, it is estimated that the project will generate close to $200 million in economic activity for New York.

Genting Resorts World Casino New York City president, Scott Molina commented on the expansion: “We are incredibly excited to break ground on this extraordinary project, which will welcome visitors around the world to enjoy the ultimate play, stay, dine and shop experience right here in Queens.”

Since its’ first opening, the Genting resort in New York has welcomed visitors from overseas who came to enjoy the fantastic gaming facilities in the casino. Genting’s resort in NYC pays 70% of the casino's gross figure to New York State, contributing to a total of $1.9 billion to New York’s Lottery Education fund since opening 6 years ago. In 2016, the company had a gaming revenue alone of $826.5 million. The Genting resort is a fantastic asset for Genting, with gaming enthusiast visiting the city solely to check out the casino.
