Ladbrokes agrees deal with PGA of Australia

Ladbrokes will own the naming rights to the PGA Pro-AM Series as well as the PGA Legends Tour, they will also run other various activations at major golf events in the country.

David Pryles, Commercial General Manager of the PGA of Australia, said: “To have an internationally renowned brand and market leader partner our Pro-Am, Legends events is a huge boost to professional golf in Australia.
“This alignment will benefit both PGA Professionals as well as amateur golfers and it’s great for the profile of our sport.”

The Association traces its roots back to 1911 when a group of ex-pat Scottish golf Professionals formed a national Association to promote the game of golf and elevate the profile of the golf Professional within Australia.

The PGA of Australia is a non-profit Member-based organisation representing Tour Professionals, Vocational Professionals and Trainee Professionals who work within golf facilities scattered throughout Australia and overseas. Their members play a crucial role in servicing more than 1.2 million Australians who play a round of golf each and every year.

The PGA of Australia owns and manages the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia which is a member of the International Federation of PGA Tours. The Australian PGA Championship, Australian Masters, Perth International, Fiji International, Emirates Australian Open and New Zealand Open are just a few of their officially sanctioned tournaments that carry World Ranking Points.

As the official sanctioning body for all elite male professional tournament golf in Australasia, the PGA of Australia has a successful history in producing numerous Major winners and world-ranked players, including Kel Nagle, Peter Thomson, Jack Newton, Greg Norman, Robert Allenby, Stuart Appleby, Geoff Ogilvy, Adam Scott and Jason Day.
