Unibet expand their sponsorship portfolio with new deals

Unibet is one of the largest online gambling companies in the industry. They boast 9.5 million customers in more than 100 countries and employ over 650 people. Part of the Kindred Group, Unibet offers a full range of games at the Unibet Casino both online and through their excellent app. Unibet have recently revealed partnerships with Aston Villa FC and the Australian Supercars Championship. The new deals will bolster Unibet’s already impressive sponsorship portfolio which includes Warwickshire Cricket Club and a range of darts tournaments including the Unibet Champions League of Darts, Unibet World Grand Prix and the Unibet European Championship.

Becoming a Villain

Aston Villa is one of England’s oldest and most decorated football clubs. They currently play in the second tier of English football, the EFL Championship. Unibet is set to become the Principal Partner of Aston Villa and the club’s official shirt sponsor for the 2017-2018 season. The Unibet logo and branding will appear at the club’s 43,000 capacity Stadium, Villa Park, and at their Bodymoor Heath training ground. They will also provide fans of the ‘Villains’ with exclusive content, promotions and betting opportunities throughout the season.

Announcing the new partnership Head of Marketing of Unibet in the UK, Sam Mead, said; “Unibet and Aston Villa are two of the biggest names in our respective fields with a rich heritage – Unibet genuinely understand football fans and, working together with Aston Villa, will be ensuring we enhance the enjoyment of their fans in all aspects of the beautiful game”.

Unibet are backing Villa to gain promotion back to the Premier League and have the club currently priced at 8/1 as joint favourites to win the league. The company will also become the official sponsor of Villa’s ladies team.

Life in the Fast Lane

Unibet have also announced that they’ll be teaming up with the Australian Supercars Championship. Under the new deal, Unibet will become the official betting and wagering partner of the series for the next two years. Unibet will feature prominently at all Supercar events through track signage and their branding will appear on all promotional material relating to the events. Fans of the sport will be closer to the action than ever as Unibet will be delivering exclusive trackside coverage and have also pledged to offer fans exclusive promotions and offers.

The 2017 Supercars Championship is the 19th year of the championship. The event takes place from March to November with 14 events held across Australia. The tour begins with the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide and concludes with the Coates Hire 500 in Newcastle. The series is broadcast on both Fox Sports and Network Ten in a deal worth $241m.

The partnership will focus on digital content aiming to give fans a better understanding the sport by providing fans with statistics and other details. Announcing the partnership, a very excited Head of Marketing and Operations at Unibet Julian Timmins, said; “Unibet Australia is looking forward to working with Supercars to ensure fans are as well informed as possible when watching and betting on their favourite teams and drivers. We see Supercars as a fantastic platform to engage and inform our punters”.
