The following year, Denmark’s Frederik Jensen beat 405 other entrants to the title collecting 625,000 Danish Krone on his way. Other Unibet Open Competitions

The Unibet Open is not just held in Copenhagen but throughout Europe. Indeed, Gerret Van Lancker lifted the Unibet Open London title in February. The Belgian collected £71,950 with Dejan Govedic coming second collecting a nice consolation prize of £45,060. Van Lancker, who was competing at his third Unibet Open final table, is the second Belgian to lift a Unibet Open event following Filip Verboven’s victory in the Prague leg in 2012. With 8 European nationalities filling the first top 10 places in London, the event attracted players from all over the continent. In November/December of last year, the Bucharest leg of the Unibet Open had a guaranteed prize pool of €500,000 with a cap of 800 players. Thanh Doan of Finland currently holds the record for the biggest win in a Unibet Open, lifting a whopping $305,326 8 years ago. As the competition continues to grow, now in its 10th season, records are there to be broken.
