Pragmatic Play gets thumbs-up from Gibraltar2018-11-29 11:40:00
The leading provider of multi-product content to the iGaming industry offers mobile-first, regulated, and innovative gaming products. It will now expand its reach to ensure that more iGamers are able to benefit from their catalogue of popular products now that the Government of Gibraltar has granted the company with a B2B supplier license.
It isn't the only big move that Pragmatic Play has made this month, either, thanks to their deal with Kindred Group that will see the company make its games library even more accessible, says Simon Rose from casinoreviews.co.uk. Now that Pragmatic has been given the Gibraltar license, it will enable Gibraltar-licensed casino operators to offer its vast library of games, which include recently successful releases like Ancient Egypt Classic and Da Vinci’s Treasure, along with the award-winning Wolf Gold. Shortly after Wolf Gold’s release, one lucky winner walked away with $93,632, so that's one reason why it's proving so popular.
Pragmatic Play’s Chief Commercial Officer Melissa Summerfield said that she is delighted as Gibraltar is a renowned jurisdiction and that it's also is a great step for the company and their plan to make their games more widely available to worldwide regulated markets.
She added that they have already proved successful in Spain, Portugal, and Italy and that they are now looking ahead to offering their games portfolio to major casino operators in Gibraltar.
Approval from Gibraltar is just the latest in a string of big moves from Pragmatic as they march on in their pursuit of expansion. The gaming content provider, in just the last quarter, has seen its European presence grow significantly, signing deals with the likes of Casumo, PokerStars, and Kindred Group. In fact, they've been signing huge deals not just this year but last year, with Mr Green one of their biggest partnerships in 2017.
Furthermore, after its recent acquisition of Extreme Live Gaming, Pragmatic Play has invested resources in the live casinos vertical to expand even further its portfolio of bingo, scratch cards, and video slots.
A really big deal
The deal with Kindred sees Pragmatic roll out its gaming content with the group. The move was huge in that Kindred brings with it up to 11 of its brands. Once known as Unibet Group Plc, The online gambling operator Kindred Group owns such brands as 32Red and iGame. The business provides a number of products, including online bingo, online poker, online casino, and sports betting.
Pragmatic Play fans can access numerous games through Kindred. Ms Sutherland also spoke about pleased she is with the Kindred partnership. Cristiano Blanco, Head of Gaming for the Kindred Group, echoed that sentiment when expressing his enthusiasm for the move.
While the company is registered in Malta, it also has offices in Gibraltar, Stockholm, and London, as well as smaller bases in other cities in Europe, and even Australia.
Unibet shareholders in 2014 approved a spin-off of the company's B2B subsidiary Kambi Group Plc. A significant 95 per cent of the shares were distributed to Unibet.
