Poker is a classic card game that is enjoyed by players all across the world. This game is actually so popular that many versions of the game exist today. One such variation of the game is Caribbean Poker and that is what this release from software producer Playpearls is based on. A unique feature of Oasis Poker is that the player is playing against the dealer and not against any other players.

The game is played with a standard 52 card deck and features a card exchange option.

Special Features

The primary objective of this game is to beat the dealer with the best hand. The game features the option to exchange cards in play which adds a whole new dimension to playing poker. It is worth noting that Oasis Poker is based on standard Poker hand rankings.

To place a bet, all you have to do is select a few chips from the deck and then start the game. Chips range in value from 1 all the way up to 100. The purple chips are the most expensive chips and are valued at 100 a piece so high rollers are going to love picking those! Once you are happy with the chips you have chosen, press the ‘Deal’ button to start the game.

The player is given 5 cards which are dealt faced-up and the dealer is given 5 cards that are faced-down except for the first card which is faced-up. Once the cards are on the table, the player is given the options of changing their cards, raising, or folding. To change your card, all you need to do is click on a card in your hand and click the ‘Change’ button. Changing a card costs you the amount of the Ante bet and so on. For example, if you want to change 1 card then it will cost you 1X the Ante bet, changing 2 cards will cost you 2X the Ante bet. If you feel that you have a bad hand then it is actually possible to change all 5 cards in one round. Once you are happy enough with the cards you have changed, then press the ‘Raise’ button.

Cards are then compared based on standard poker rankings and the dealer will only qualify with Ace and King or higher. If the dealer does not qualify then you win but if the dealer qualifies with a hand that beats yours then you will lose all bets. If a player’s hand is equal to the dealer then all bets are returned to you.

If you find that a particular bet is giving you a nice return, then it is possible to reuse the same bet again. To do this, all you need to do is simply press the ‘Rebet’ button after a round finishes up. If you wish to remove the current bet, all you have to do is press the ‘Clear Bet’ button.

Theme, Graphics and Sound

The presentation of the game is very basic but it does not really matter as this game focuses firmly on the action that takes place on the table. Oasis Poker is played on a dark green felt casino table and it features a nice range of colourful chips as well as a Spade design that looks like it is sewn into the cloth of the table. The payout options are neatly displayed on the right-hand side of the table so you know exactly what each hand pays out.

The game does not feature any music but you will hear announcements from the Live Dealer as he tells you when to place bets and when a round has been won.

Win lines, Payouts and Jackpots

The game is played with a 52 card deck and has a very good RTP ranging between 96% and 97%. The maximum payout is 100:1 when you have a Royal Flush.

Our Verdict on Oasis Poker

Oasis Poker is made by PlayPearls and it’s a very enjoyable take on a classic casino table game. The graphics are quite dated when you compare it to more modern poker games out there but this game is all about the thrill of beating the dealer with a better hand. The ability to be able to switch cards as you play makes this game quite challenging but at the same time very exciting to play. I would advise players to implement a strategy such as not switching cards too often if you intend to win long term when playing this game.
